2 Surprisingly Easy Ways To Make Matcha Drinks

When you’re in a hustle bustle, convenience is everything. What a lot of people don’t realize is how diverse it is and the many ways to make matcha. You don’t have to stand there whisking it in a bowl anymore!

Here are three quick ways you can make matcha tea…

1. Hot and frothy

This is a very simple way to make matcha. It makes a hot drink which is perfect to kick off your day! There’s a lot of flexibility too with what you can put in the drink and it’s entirely up to you. Feel free to modify the recipe!

Preparation time: 3 minutes

Equipment and Ingredients
Instructions
  • Remove the frothing attachment (this is a hack to not actually froth the milk but we want to use the appliance to heat and mix it)
  • Pour the ingredients into the frother
  • Sift or scoop in the matcha
  • Turn on the frother and wait until mixing is finished

The drink should come out with a foamy layer on top. Make sure to rinse the frother afterwards and wipe it down as there may be matcha residue stuck on the sides.

2. Cold and plain

This is perfect for those in a hurry and on the go. This preparation is similar to cold brewed drinks you’ll find in stores such as Midori Matcha’s.

Preparation time: 1 minute

Equipment and Ingredients
Instructions
  • Pour all the water into the bottle
  • Sift or scoop in the matcha
  • Shake, shake, shake!

I personally find this is a great drink to have before the gym. It’s cold and an incredibly convenient way to make matcha.

What do you think of these two ways to make matcha? There are certainly more ways to prepare it and we’d love to hear what you’ve tried.
